Summary

A medical laboratory scientist with the desire to develop a career in infectious diseases specifically in Tuberculosis. I have ten years’ experience in Laboratory Techniques used in Bacteriology, Serology, and Mycobacteriology. Working as a Health Laboratory Practitioner I have gained the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and staff, and have develop teamwork skills through collaboration with clinical laboratory directors. Working as a Laboratory technician, both at Muhimbili National Hospital and Central Tuberculosis Reference Laboratory (CTRL) gave me competitive hands on skills in laboratory practices, Being the Quality Officer then Laboratory manager at CTRL have gained strong organisational and leadership skills through the implementation of Quality Management System according to the ISO 15189. Serve as Deputy Head of Laboratory at National Tuberculosis and Leprosy Programme (NTLP) capacitate me with ability of organizing and monitoring TB programmatic issues especially in Laboratory aspect. My aim is to be involved in tuberculosis control programmes and professional activities to contribute positively to the growth of Medical Laboratory Sciences and use my professional knowledge through training and diagnosis to control and End Tuberculosis to solve global health problems through innovations in TB diagnosis. Detail-oriented Laboratory Manager highly effective at keeping laboratories running smoothly and efficiently. Knowledgeable about managing supplies, equipment, and facilities.
