• To plan, implement and monitor all activities related to TB diagnosis around the country such as training and supervision on AFB smear Microscopy, Lot EQA AFB smear Microscopy, XpertMTB/Rif rollout, Decentralization of zonal TB culture laboratory within country TB laboratory Network
• Initiate and spearhead the process for ISO ACCREDITATION at CTRL and fourTB Zonal Laboratories to improve and maintain the Laboratory quality management system and manage to obtain

Develop and Launch the GeneXpert implementation rollout plan, set up standardized GeneXpert, Installation procedures and training curriculum,

Launching the TB culture activities to the zonal levels, Initiate the QMS and assist in attaining the Accreditation of the TB zonal Laboratories named Bugando, Kibong’oto.Pemba Public Health Laboratory and Dodoma Regional Laboratory.
