- Undertaking needs assessments and develop specific recommendations for individual water sanitation and hygiene projects to address identified need.
- Designing of water treatment plants, Storage Tanks, solar pumping systems, pumping and distribution networks for domestic and livestock use
- Design and develop appropriate construction structural drawings to be used by contractors during the project execution process.
- Preparation of Bills of quantities, budget estimates and work schedule
- Ensure the construction and renovation projects are implemented on time, to budget and to the appropriate quality as per BoQs and design by assisting the contractors and technicians in the interpretation of BoQs and structural drawings associated to this project.
- Provide technical advice to the contractors on the suitability, quality and appropriateness of the materials to be used including specifications of the needed materials as per the BoQs and drawings in place.
- Monitor progress and compile reports in project status at every stage of completions.
- Analyze and ensure compliance to all construction contract schedules and specifications and prepare all documents for construction management and provide support to all staff in various construction tasks and prepare final documents at project completion.
- Build relationship with other local partners for smooth implementation.
- In collaboration with RUWASA District Office, Identify and train community members to form Community based Water Supply Organizations (CBWSOs), which will manage water projects with the aim of creating community ownership of projects and sustainability.
