A results-driven Enterprise Architect and Digital Transformation leader with 13+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, solution architecture, enterprise integration, and technology leadership within the banking industry. Since joining CRDB Bank in 2013 as its first in-house software developer, I have been entrusted with architecting and delivering mission-critical banking platforms, leading large-scale digital transformation programmes, and establishing enterprise architecture and engineering governance across Tanzania, Burundi, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

My career has evolved from Software Developer to Solution Architect, Technical Lead, and currently Senior Manager – Enterprise Architecture & Engineering Governance, providing strategic leadership in enterprise architecture, digital banking, payment systems, enterprise integration, API ecosystems, and engineering excellence.

• Technology Leadership & Organisational Impact

1. Joined CRDB Bank in 2013 as the Bank's first in-house software developer, helping establish the internal software engineering capability from the ground up.

2. Contributed to the Bank's engineering transformation from 0% internally developed systems in 2013 to more than 37% in-house systems 2026, significantly strengthening technology independence, innovation capacity, and institutional knowledge.

3. Progressed through successive technical and leadership positions over 13 years, demonstrating continuous growth from software engineer into enterprise architect and executive technology governance.

4. Designed, developed, documented, deployed, and supported 6 banking systems from ideation to production where two of them were mission-critical payment systems that continue to operate within production banking environment until today

5. During the early years of 2013 to 2020, independently I executed the complete software lifecycle - including business analysis, solution architecture, software development, testing, deployment, production level 2 support, and technical documentation before mentoring and transitioning ownership to expanding engineering teams.

• Digital Transformation Programmes

Between 2013 and 2025 I have served as a key technical contributor and leader across three of CRDB's largest technology transformation programmes:

1. 2015 to 2016 - Core Banking Upgrade (from UB1.4 to FBE 4.2) - Delivered system customisations, Crystal Reports-based, and Savvy flow system as the core back office solution.

2. 2022 to 2025 - Core Banking Modernisation (from FBE 4.2x to Temenos T24) - Led integration implementation across TZA, BDI, and DRC, including SWIFT integration and payment interoperability.

3. 2022 to 2025 - Enterprise Service Bus Transformation (RKE & WSO2) - Served simultaneously as Solution Architect and Technical Lead for the enterprise-wide ESB implementation. Led architecture, integration strategy, implementation governance, and delivery across multiple banking platforms.

• Regional Digital Transformation Leadership

Provided architecture and technical leadership for major digital transformation initiatives across CRDB Group:

Burundi between 2022 to 2026:

1. Led migration of all digital channels from vendor-managed gateways onto the Bank's Enterprise Service Bus.

2. Led implementation of CRDB's in-house SimBanking Mobile App and USSD platform, replacing third-party vendor solutions.

DRC Between 2022 to 2026:

1. Led implementation and integration of major digital banking channels, including - Mobile Banking App, USSD Banking, Internet Banking, Agency Banking, Calypso, Swift and e.t.c

2. Successfully integrated all channels into the enterprise integration platform

Tanzania Between 2022 to 2026:

1. Led modernisation of the SWIFT payment infrastructure through migration from traditional MT messaging to the ISO 20022 payment standard, strengthening interoperability and future-proofing the Bank's payment ecosystem.

2. Led enterprise architecture and solution design for critical banking platforms supporting digital banking, payments, enterprise integration, and core banking modernization.

3. Established engineering governance practices that improve solution quality, maintainability, scalability, and delivery consistency.

4. Continues to drive enterprise-wide adoption of modern architecture principles, API-first integration, micro services, DevSecOps, Architecture-as-Code, and engineering best practices.
