Accomplishments

    2023 – development of Recruitment Portal for TANESCO

  • Initiated and supervised development of recruitment portal after acquiring permit (dispensation/autonomy) from Treasury Registrar for selected public commercial organizations.
  • The ICT team is finalizing development, and it will be online by March 2024.
  • 2022 – 2023 - HR Audit

  • Successfully planned, supervised, and implemented HR Audit focusing on employees’ employment records.
  • 96 employees were found to have incorrect records which indicated that there were not supposed to be employees of the company.
  • TZS 9.8 billion was saved from wrong payment of salaries and allowances to the employees.
  • 2022 – HR Governance Tools

  • Successfully supervised a team for development of staff regulations, organization structure, schemes of service, incentive scheme and disciplinary handling manual. These documents were not existing.
  • Proper placement of employees (according to their qualifications as per requirements of schemes of service) was successfully implemented (100%).
  • Employees’ salaries were increased by 33% and allowances by 12%.
  • Staff motivation increased from 49% to 65%
  • Corporate performance improved accordingly e.g. new customer connection surpassed from 300,000 to 500,000 per annum.
  • 2021 – Development of Corporate Strategic Plan

  • Participated in a Managing Director’s Team to develop an interim Corporate Strategic Plan.
  • ICSP was approved by the Board of Directors and came into use in January 2022.
  • 2014 – HR Governance Tools for TGDC

  • Successfully coordinated development of organization governance tools (Organization structure, and HR policies) in the newly established public company (Tanzania Geothermal Development Company Limited).
