Salome joined SNV Tanzania as an administrative accountant, and in just a span of one year she had grown enough to fit the position of Country Finance Controller, a position she held for 8 years.
Main duties and responsibilities
· Entering and maintaining data in the maintenance of accounting records
· Updating and reviewing day to day information on office accounts.
· Prepare monthly financial reports.
· Maintaining up to date financial filling system and ensuring all supporting document are appropriately files.
· Prepare regular payments and maintaining up to date cash and bank books.
· Collect deposits and receipts from donors and other parties
· Maintaining office cash box, Cheque books
· Carry out regular reconciliation on bank accounts, debtors, creditors, project and suspense accounts
