Summary

  • I started practicing in the laboratory of Immunogenetics and DNA technology of the Department of Immunology and Biotechnology in “Moscow State Academy of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology”. I then did my Internship in Federal State Budgetary Institution “Central scientific and methodical veterinary laboratory” in Moscow, for my final thesis. My final qualifying work was about, Monitoring of Genetic Modified Organisms (GMOs) in food products of plant origin. The study was done to determine the presence of Genetic modified organisms in different food products, with the help of Real-time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) method.

  • Conducted research on Monitoring of the Presence of Genetic Modified Organisms (GMOs) in food products of plant origin, using Real-time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR)
  • Activities included sample preparation, DNA extraction, amplification of extracted DNA for the detection of regulatory sequences in the genome of plant-derived GMOs, and PCR settings and processing of results.
