Accomplishments

  • Established and managed Advance Afrika: From the inception of AA to presiding over its operations and serving on its board, RR successfully secured over USD 6 million in grants from prestigious organizations such as the European Union, Caritas Switzerland, Government of Uganda, Edukans Netherlands, Ageh Germany, and Open Society Foundations.
  • During RRs tenure as the Executive Director of AA, developed the most extensive entrepreneurship programme for the Uganda Prisons Service, which prioritises the Rehabilitation, Reformation, and Reintegration of prisoners in Uganda, and has showcased this programme at global prison conferences in Florida, USA, Romania, and the UK. This program has contributed to reducing recidivism in Uganda and raising Uganda Prisons Service as the centre of excellence in Africa for correctional services.
  • Founded Bold Energy, a renewable energy company, established the largest clean cooking program on cook stoves, leading Bold Energy to be the clean cooking company of the year 2022.
  • A smallholder irrigation program was developed in collaboration with the Government of Uganda, now running across Uganda with water for the Production Department, Ministry of Water and Environment.
  • Developed a program on biogas in partnership with Sistema.Bio, a Mexico-based company. This largest program in the country now runs across major regions in Uganda.
  • Secured annual funding of USD 1.5 million for Bold Energy since 2019.
  • In his consultancy portfolio since 2010, RR has trained more than 5,000 professionals across the globe in various subjects, including leadership, entrepreneurship, HR, retirement planning, project management, corporate strategy, fundraising, business analytics, and communication skills.
