- Participated in on-the-job training, working closely with supervisors and coworkers and asking appropriate questions.
- Office work, introduced to different tools that are used to accomplish the daily duties of a forest officer in the office and on the field outside the office, these tools inlcludes the: FREMIS software, this is the system that allows a forest officer to perform a wide range of activities to accomplish his/her daily duties these includes: Creating Transit Pass (TP), Registering new customers on the system, Formulating bills to be payed, Fines and different government levies, this is accesed though a computer, POS or a smartphone.
- Patrol activities, to inspect and limit any illegal entrance of the forest produce within the management boundaries of the office.
- Registration of customers, was done to ensure that all the bussinesses that deals with the manufacture or value addition or the use of any of the forest produce are registered into the customers database and they pay their anual revenue each one according to their allocated amount.
- Checkpoint area, the duties conducted here were mainly inspection of the load carrying trucks/vehicles partcularly those carrying forest produces i.e. Timber, poles, charcoal, veneer, firewood, Saw dust and any other products, the inspection is done to ensure their tranporting the documented products and not otherwise also the load size in volume does not exceed that recorded in the documents (i.e. Transit Pass)
- Mwenge export center, this small office is located at Mwenge, mpakani Dareslaam, this office was established by TFS kinondoni in order to bring the services closer to the customers also for the export documentation services for the wood carvings products which are largely produced in the area.
