Logistics, Events, and Planning Officer

  • Field logistics, bookings, and reservations; to assist across the organization with any flight and hotel bookings and reservations
  • I coordinate with printing suppliers to find the best printing deals for the organization's communications materials
  • In general, managing the whole process
  • I have recently assisted the Honeyguide Governance team in facilitating the stakeholders of WAGA and Mbomipa WMA in the Iringa region to prioritize and plan for actions for their four-year Darwin Project
  • I was a Conference manager for the 2024 Youth4nature conference (organized by Honeyguide Foundation with the responsibilities below)
  • Budget Management: I drafted and managed the event budget and the attendee support budget, ensuring financial resources were allocated wisely and within limits
  • Team and Volunteer Recruitment: I recruited and organized a dedicated team of volunteers, ensuring that all operational aspects of the conference were handled efficiently, these positions included the comms, Registration and sales, Speakers and talks management & Logistics and operations
  • Fundraising: I played a key role in fundraising, helping to raise $8,000 in funding, enabling 66 youths from rural areas and students to attend the conference, thereby increasing our outreach and impact
  • Leadership and Implementation: I provided clear directives to the team and successfully implemented the comprehensive work plan for the conference
  • Regular Meetings: I organized and led regular team meetings to ensure seamless coordination and progress tracking
  • Collaboration and Partnerships: I established valuable collaborations with other events, such as the Kili Fair and Wild Screen Festival, which facilitated shared promotion and resource optimization.
