  • In my position as a Strategic Partnerships and Compliance Senior Officer I have been able to achieve the following;
  • Secured funds for the organisation strategy and project implementation
  • I have been able to support the Executive Director in developing proposal, reporting to donors, and maintaining good relations with donors
  • Specifically, I successfully ensured all organisational donor reports are developed and submitted on time as well as compliance to all contractual obligations
  • Of recently I have been able to lead the proposal writeup that involved more than one country in sub-Saharan Africa of which it has been successful and the project will run for two years i.e
  • From 2022-2024
  • Developed and maintained the stakeholders' outreach strategy which includes a list of donors (both traditional and non-traditional) government and CSOs that aligns to PF's mandate and strategy
  • Supported the Executive Director in donor engagement meetings: in such meetings my role has been around leading in pitching/presenting about the work of Policy Forum and the existing opportunities for new and/or continued partnership
  • Successful supported the Executive Director and management team to design programs and projects that aligns to the strategic goal of Policy forum
  • I have been leading in preparation of the organisation strategic plan and aligns program activities to the overall organisation strategic goals by liaising with the management team
  • In collaboration with Monitoring Evaluation and Learning Unit, I have facilitated the documentation of the impact stories emanating from Policy Forum interventions
  • Establishment and facilitation of strategic partnerships with key stakeholders such as the Government Ministries, Private Sector and CSOs
  • Such partnership include an MoU with President Office-Regional Administration and Local Government (PO-RALG), MoU with Foundation for Civil Society (FCS) for the development of the CSOs compliance Manual to Regulatory bodies in Tanzania and MoU with Commission for Human Rights And Good Governance (CHRAGG) that advocates for enhancing good governance and adherence to human right including girl child rights
  • Representing Policy Forum in different Stakeholder’s meeting/engagements which aligns with PF advocacy goals
  • Some of the meetings include;
  • Policy Forum Donor Meetings: Leading in preparation of donor meeting reports in collaboration with management team
  • In these meetings, my role has been around taking lead in presenting implementation progress of the annual plan, lessons learnt, risks and best practices emanating from PF interventions
  • Like Minded CSOs Meetings: I have represented Policy Forum in international learning meetings for example in September 2018 I attended the conference organized by Public Service Accountability Monitor (PSAM) based in South Africa
  • In this meeting I successfully shared how Policy Forum has institutionalized a learning culture which informs impact documentation practices particularly on social accountability interventions conducted in Tanzania
  • I have also been a focal person in the CSO Week Planning Committee which is the largest gathering of the CSOs in Tanzania
  • I have successfully coordinated the Annual Learning Event (ALE) conducted during the CSO week in 2018, 2019 and 2021 respectively
  • The learning event as a platform provided an opportunity to social accountability practitioners both at the local and national level to share their experiences, learnings and best practices emanating from social accountability intervention for better accountability practices
  • And Planning (MoFP) validation meeting of the Tanzania Voluntary National Review (VNR) report on SDGs: In this meeting I presented on behalf of Tanzania CSOs regarding their role on developing CSOs report and how it contributed to the production of the Tanzania country report on SDGs

  • PO-RALG meeting: as partnerships senior officer, I have been a focal person in managing all PO-RALG meetings where I was able to organize, facilitate and follow up to ensure successful negotiations which led to the sign of MoU of collaboration between Policy Forum and PO-RALG
  • Among other things the MOU provided a directive to LGAs to avail information needed to CSOs conducting social accountability interventions at the LGAs
  • In line with this role, I have personally established excellent rapport with key officials at Local Government Coordination Unit
  • Managing the performance of the unit, this include ensuring department targets and indicators are met
  • Ensured unit compliance through weekly monitoring of project activities that aligned with goals and targets as per result framework
  • This was done through Management Information System and compiling reports on monthly and quarterly basis
  • Successful conducted evidence-based advocacy in collaboration with PF members and partners
  • To realise this, I alongside with the consultant designed and facilitated the training on “Advocacy Skills” to PF members and partners
  • Members trained, successfully managed to package their massages backed up with strong evidence and engaged with the parliamentary budget committee to influence change
  • An example of successful advocacy engagement is on the allocation of the loans to people living with disabilities from the 10% LGAs own source revenues resulting for this group to be allocated 2% of the revenues collected
  • Conducting Policy and Budget Analysis leading to the production of budgetary policy briefs
  • Successfully produced a policy brief titled “Leave no One Behind: Youth and Sustainable Development” and “President's Office Reginal Administration and Local Government budget trends and the realization of Agenda 2030
  • This brief covered advocacy messages including the rights of women and young girls' access to benefits of good governance such as the accountability in the use of public resources
  • Initiated and managed SDGs related activities within Policy Forum Secretariat and the network at large; As stakeholders' relations officer, I was able to facilitate mainstreaming of SDGs activities in the network, as a result of my role the following was achieved
  • Supported establishment of the Parliamentary Group on Sustainable Development (PGSD) in collaboration with Tanzania Sustainable Development Platform (TSDP)which was officially launched by the Speaker of Parliament in November 2018 in Dodoma.
