Work History
- The primary purpose of this post is to deliver two key functions which contribute to the project responsibilities for maintaining a safe road network and taking measures to reduce accidents: Road Safety awareness campaign to project workers and community, Training, and Publicity.
- Assisting by ensuring that the risk assessments are reviewed and updated annually or when an incident occurs, whichever comes first.
- Ordering PPE when necessary and the necessary ordering of stock as per the budget
- Assist in Utilization on available health and safety legislation and/ or regulations to ensure that all reasonable and proper measures are taken to ensure the safety and health of employees, clients and visitors
- Distributing the H&S safety talks and ensuring the Representative complete the register
- Produce written reports and summaries to be made available to the program manager including project weekly plans, progress reports, and evaluations.
Field Officer (Road Safety)
- The primary purpose of this post is to deliver two key functions which contribute to the project responsibilities for maintaining a safe road network and taking measures to reduce accidents: The School programs and Road Safety awareness campaign, Training, and Publicity.
- (Non-Government organization focuses on empowerment, partnership and sustainability for the well-being of the society)
- Key Achievements:
- - Contribute and support the development of road safety awareness campaign activities along the project area.
- - Support effective relationships with the project contractor and Resident Engineers team as well as the key stakeholders such as community leaders, school administrations, and districts traffic police officers
- - Engaged with residents, local community groups, and schools along the project area for the implementation of a road safety awareness campaign.
- - Work jointly with traffic and road safety engineers to identify, create, promote, implement & evaluate road safety initiatives to work towards minimizing local road casualties and accidents along the project area.
- - Lead the promotion and delivery of publicity campaigns relating to road safety awareness campaigns, getting information to a large audience and specific target groups, and selecting the most appropriate groups such as motorists, Taxi drivers, and children during the campaign.
- - Produce written reports and summaries to be made available to the program manager including project weekly plans, progress reports, and evaluations.
Safety officer Intern
- This position based in Tabora Municipality volunteering assist in supporting safety and health issues among construction workers and local communities during Upgrading of Kariua -Mzimiwa Road to Bitumen standard
- (A private limited company rooted in the construction industry with more than 15 years of experience in the building and civil engineering sector)
- Key achievements:
- - Assist in Utilization on available health and safety legislation or regulations to ensure that all reasonable and proper measures are taken to ensure the safety and health of employees, clients and visitors.
- - Assisting by ensuring that the risk assessments are reviewed and updated annually or when an incident occurs, whichever comes first.
- - Assist to investigate all accidents and incidents and make recommendations to management to prevent any re-occurrence of incidents.
- - Ordering PPE when necessary and the necessary ordering of stock as per the budget
- - Distributing the H&S safety talks and ensuring the Representative complete the register
- - Assist the site to comply with all current health and safety legislation or regulations.
