  • My role was to provide an operational interface between the suppliers of transit products (Trafigura PTE, PEP BV and PIC under BPS) and the consignees of transit products in Zambia, Rwanda, Malawi, DRC etc) with a smooth flow of information, documentation, payments on behalf of suppliers/receivers, Invoicing the suppliers/receivers and managing transit customer’s payments accounts thereon.
  • The main goal is to ensure the proper management of Bulk Procurement system (BPS) and grow storage and handling transit business into one of the leading business channels of Puma Energy Tanzania Limited through smooth transit product importation coordination.
  • Responsible for ensuring importation documentation for transit product and Discharge Instructions are correctly advised as intended.
  • Single Point of Accountability (SPA) for all payments processing made by Puma Tanzania on behalf of the guest company and recovery thereof.
  • Accountable for Invoicing Storage and Handling charges to the guest companies plus all other charges paid on behalf of the guest companies (Trafigura PTE and PEP BV).
  • Responsible for recording of the transit volumes in the stock system to facilitate the stock.
  • To ensure LC is opened before the start of the BPS Tender laycan.
  • Accountable for Wharfage payment and recovery thereon.
  • Accountable for all import costs payments and recoveries from the guests. (i.e. TBS Fees, Tiper Fees, WMA Fees, PIC Fees).
  • Accountable for requesting and checking the authenticity of importation documentation for transit products and discharge instructions sent to ship agent, surveyors and 3rd party receiving Terminals.
  • Maintain continuous contact and relationship with Trafigura PTE and PEP BV operations Teams to ensure that their accounts are up to date.
  • Provide cover to Supply Coordinator (Local) or Supply Manager while away.
