Analyze credit proposals by observing policies, procedures and regulatory requirements and provide recommendations to relevant approving authorities/committees.
- Support the business teams in their dealings and ensure quality bookings and growth of credit book.
- Ensure credit portfolio remains of good quality with balanced concentration and diversification always.
- Ensure best TAT in loan processing to meet customer’s expectations.
- Participate in target market strategy and its preparation, PPs and other credit related products.
- Support the Credit Manager in her absence.
- Provide support to Credit Administration unit in preparation of ECL model and other reports.
- Extracting, analysing, and interpreting the information from daily reports and providing appropriate recommendations/escalation to the management as appropriate.
- Ensure reconciliation is done timely on government loans to avoid PDOs from non-allocation of funds.
- Ensure good quality of credit management services (approvals, disbursements, reports and remedial management) in supporting business goals.
- Report all risk and loss events as a result of errors or fraud to the line manager and /or relevant parties to manage mitigate possible losses.
- Work with Business Units to ensure portfolio quality remains within group target and regulatory NPL ratio of 5%.
- Minimization of exposures and impacts of credit risks, managing troubled exposures to ensure good loan recovery.
- Assist the Credit Manager to ensure that provisioning policies are in line with the Bank’s Credit Policy Document, comply with Banking Act provisions and co-ordinate with Finance Division to ensure appropriate provisions and interest suspensions for the credit book are effected in the Bank’s accounting systems.
Performing Retail Health Safety Security and Environment Audit.
• Conducting thorough inspection of Retail stations.
• Performing onsite operational support including records management and facilitating onsite
activities.
• Overseeing functions of Quality Marshals in making sure everything is in order.
• Making sure things are organized in Engen’s Convenience stores.
• Liaise and advise internal and external stakeholder on matters within area of
responsibilities.
• Providing support to other staffs in other departments.
• Performing other duties and responsibilities as may be directed by Operations and support
manager.
•Assisting Retail projects manager in site visits and ensuring payments are made timely.
• Performing On site and off site audits of retail stations.
• Conducting trainings to Quality marshals and Customer champions through both the organization’s applications and face to face sessions.
