Mariam Ngaeje

• Contributed/ontributing to the development, review, monitoring, evaluation and reporting of the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework and ensuring UNFPA mandate is reflected with the special focus on Leaving No one Behind agenda and the youth population bulge in the country.
• Champion development of the UN Tanzania UN youth subgroup through development of the ToRs and pioneering the reporting of the UNCT youth score card 2022 and 2023.
• Multi-sectoral engagement and working with the government of Tanzania Ministries, Department and Agencies, Other UN agencies including UNAIDS, UNESCO, ILO, UNDP and UN women to address and advocate SRHR, HIV, Gender Equality and Women Empowerment and Adolescents and Youth (A&Y) agenda at global, regional, national and subnational level
• Among the greatest achievements the last 1.5 years are; lead the team from GoT, UN agencies and development partners to conduct costing of the national condom strategy, which gave the government the direction on the condom estimates and resources needed for 3 years
• Manage core resources and donor budgets effectively, consistently staying within financial constraints while maximizing resource allocation for optimal SRHR, HIV and adolescents and youths portfolios results.
• Mentor junior team members, fostering professional growth through guidance on best practices within the organization and outside while enhancing their leadership skills.
• Participating in resources mobilization both for UNFP and UN Joint program's,were I lead and co lead proposal write up where three were successfully funded and two are in the final stage of contracting with the donor

• Successfully initiated and managed implementation of the largest programme on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights among women in Tanzania supported by UKAID
• Overseer of programme implementation, monitoring and reporting in all programme areas among which is health system strengthening (HSS) and ensuring donor compliance both budgetary and financial
• Managed time and the team efficiently in order to complete all tasks within deadlines including donor reporting,government reporting and stakeholders engagement.

• Managing a Global Affairs Canada (GAC) project amounting to 15,000,000CAD on sexual and reproductive health services including family planning, the first under Marie Stopes Tanzania.
• Lead the project inception process for GAC project basing on donor requirements including stakeholder's engagement, development of project implementation plan and conducting gender and environmental impact assessment in GAC supported regions.
• Streamlined project management processes by implementing agile methodologies, resulting in improved efficiency, quality reports and data and reduced costs.
• Led cross-functional teams for successful project delivery within scope, schedule, and budget constraints.

Established effective and strategic communication channels with stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment of programme expectations and deliverables.

• Lead scientist in the first largest sickle cell disease clinical trial in Muhimbili National Hospital in Tanzania.
• Ensured high-quality data collection by adhering to robust national and international clinical trials protocols and providing comprehensive training for clinical staff.

• Pioneered development of first strategic plan for the company which enabled investment of a new clinic costing approximately 161,430USD.

• As part of the clinical team, I supported the Regional and Council Health Management Teams (R/CHMT's) in assessing the need for HIV/AIDS care and treatment services in the catchment population, and through this strategy, we were able to initiate HIV care and treatment services in 10 health facilities in Pwani region.
• Improved HIV and AIDS patient outcomes by providing expert clinical advice and implementing evidence-based practices in clinics and governance.
