Linus, an adult Tanzanian citizen, holds a Master’s Degree in Development Studies and brings over fifteen years of experience in development coordination and community development. His career spans both the public and private sectors, where he has held various roles. Currently, he serves as the Principal Community Development Officer at the President’s Office of Regional Administration and Local Government (PO-RALG), where he has been acting as the Assistant Director for Local Governance and Community Development department, his key responsibilities include coordinating projects, programs, Development Partners (DPs), international organizations, and civil society organizations at national and sub-national level. Linus has played a pivotal role in fostering effective partnerships between the Government of Tanzania (GOT) and Development Partners. He has successfully coordinated several notable projects, including bilateral projects under USAID, European Union, UN agencies and Belgium Development Agency and civil societies. As a trusted liaison between Ministries, Development Partners, regions and local governments, Linus excels in building and maintaining productive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. His network, strategic communication skills, and diplomatic approach have been instrumental in driving the success of numerous initiatives and advancing community development objectives across Tanzania. Furthermore, Linus is a gender expert who has been actively analyzing and addressing issues related to gender equality, gender-based discrimination, and the social, norms, economic, and political impacts of gender dynamics.
