Successfully coordinated the planning and execution of the first ever joint USAID/GoT portfolio reviews in both mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar in 2024.
Successfully boosted stronger relationships, collaboration and greater GoT understanding of USAID assistance and programs. The respectful negotiations that followed led to the signing of the bilateral assistance agreement between USAID and the GoT in 2023, that was after five years of tension.
Developed and maintained the first multi-year planning tool for managing and tracking the USAID procurement plan linking it to budgets, pipelines and mortgages.
Developed and presented before international donors the proposal that led to mobilization of $4 million for scaling up implementation of the national under-five birth registration strategy in Tanzania.
Under the UN joint programme (JP4) I managed, I successfully developed, packaged, and communicated information materials on the UN reform and Delivering as One agenda and joint programming concepts to national stakeholders. This led to good understanding of the One UN reform and its programmatic aspects resulting to JP4 being rated by the Joint Steering Committee as the best performing in Tanzania by 2011.
Successfully initiated the $3 million-a-year Millennium Villages Project in Tanzania (2006) in terms of efficient coordination of all interventions related to securing government understanding and support, establishing technical, logistical and operational groundwork for the project in Tabora and linking well with UNDP country office, development partners, and the donors in the U.S.
