Joseph Kavishe is a seasoned Finance and Administration Manager at Farm Africa Tanzania and a key member of the Farm Africa Tanzania Management Team. With extensive experience as Finance and Administration Manager at CNFA Tanzania, I managed multi-donor contracts, including those with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and USAID’s Farmer to Farmer program. I ensured compliance with donor contracts, developed financial systems, and prepared statutory and donor reports in line with international standards. I also conducted internal audits and Value for Money assessments to ensure optimal use of resources and trained non-finance staff on financial procedures, aligning annual plans with organizational objectives.

With thirty-three months of experience at FARM Africa Tanzania, I held senior management roles, including Project Accountant for the Nou Joint Forest Management Project and Programme Accountant and Administrator for the Northern Tanzania Pastoralist Program. I managed donor funds from organizations like the EU, DFID, JOAC, Banyan Tree Foundation, and the UK Lottery Club. Key accomplishments include representing FARM Africa in EU financial audits in Ethiopia, contributing to the review of the 2015 FARM Africa Tanzania Country Strategy, and developing and enforcing accounting policies to ensure financial control and donor compliance.
