In collaboration with WHO, Regional and Council teams participated in conducting Integrated Active Surveillance to health facilities and visits to traditional healers using ODK tool.

• Conduct active surveillance to all high and medium health facilities using checklist and ODK in Regions and Districts with sub optimal performance.
• Build capacity of Regional Health Management Team and Council Health Management Team on Vaccine Preventable Diseases surveillance
• Sensitized Health facility workers in medium and high priority health facilities to conduct active search for Acute Flaccid Paralysis (AFP) cases as recommended by guideline
• Sensitize community health workers, traditional healers and other health providers to report Immunization and Vaccines Development (IVD) preventable diseases.
• Build capacity of focal persons on how to conduct active surveillance
• Conduct a detailed case clinical, epidemiological and laboratory investigation of all identified disease especially (AFP cases, Suspected measles cases, NNT, Yellow fever cases)
• Validate AFP and measles cases reported and investigated by health facilities in 2017
• Conducted AFP cluster investigation at Kongwa District Council, Dodoma region, Tanzania, in collaboration with WHO - 2016.
• Participate in measles outbreak in Missenyi and Kyerwa in Kagera region

• Leading regional team in coordinating the activities
• Prepare training materials and supervise training of health providers
• Ensure proper usage of all supportive devices and equipment like cars, refrigerators, documents
• Ensure vaccines are properly stored and distributed according to needs
• Ensure quality of data collected during and after champagne
• Dissemination of activity report

• Conduct real time analysis of outbreak intelligence data
• Making guideline and tools to be used in Cholera surveillance
• Analyze and disseminate scientific information to Ministry of health and international organizations
