Achievements: (i)Established 3 key Protocols under EPfR under the support of Shule -Bora (a) Teacher Allocation Protocols to support equitable Teacher allocation based on need,(b)Teaching-Learning Materials for Primary schools(P-TLMAP) and for Secondary schools(S-TLMAP) (ii) Enabled the EPfR independent Verification to facilitate smooth dialogue between GOT and Development Partners (iv) As EDPG chair enabled tabling of major reform to sector dialogue.

(iii)Instituted a range of system reforms through support of the GPE systems capacity grant

Component Technical Lead for Organizational Planning & Local Education Management - £90m Education Quality Improvement Programme in Tanzania (EQUIP-Tanzania)

1. Overall responsibility for management of all component activities.

2. Oversight lead for the Programme Fund Officers, responsible for the monitoring of decentralized funds expenditure, control and reporting.

3. Responsible planning , design and delivery of capacity building interventions on decentralized education planning and Management and Public Financial Management. (in partnership with Institute of Rural development Planning) in the 48 Local councils in Tanzania's 7 administrative regions.

Achievements: (i)significant results from a 4 Year Programme, in the local governments under my component, schools re-established school committees that were accountable to the parents. (ii)Introduction of more representative school level Parent -Teacher-Partnerships (PTPs)in place of PTAs (iii) professionalised Ward Education Office position to make them more responsive to school needs (iii) introduced In-Service Teacher upgrade(evolved into current TCPD), (iv) introduced School Readiness Programme(SRPs) to mitigate barrier to access due to long distances (v) introduction of DEM practices. All these are sustained in current shule-bora programme
