I started off my M&E career with Life and Hope Rehabilitation Organization (LHRO), Bagamoyo Sober House, where I worked as a Project Staff in Implementing Harm Reduction Projects to People Who Use/Inject Drugs (PWUID). I am adept in the use of data analysis tools such as Advanced Microsoft Excel, Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS), Microsoft Power Business Intelligence (BI) and Maximum Qualitative Data Analysis (MAXQDA). I am also skilled in Result Based M&E system development (Strategic Plans, Project Implementation Plans (PIP), M&E Frameworks, Performance Measurement Frameworks (PMF), M&E Plans, Performance Indicators Reference Sheets (PIRS), Database Management, Tools Development and Knowledge Translation for Policy Change, Advocacy and Use of Findings/Data from Monitoring, Evaluation and Research. In additional, I am adept in District Health Information System version 2 (DHIS2) frameworks reporting systems (Infolink, DATIM and DHIS2 Tracker); CTC2 Analytics and CTC2 Database; Quantum Geographical Information System (QGIS) for Spatial Analysis; and data cleaning using MS Power Query. I possess a Bachelor of Education in Arts (Hons.) in Linguistics and Literature in English from The University of Dodoma, a certificate in Planning for Monitoring and Evaluation from the University of Philanthropy and currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Monitoring and Evaluation (MA M&E) from The Open University of Tanzania.

Job overview

  • Developed a Demand creation tracker and case management linkage form through Kobo Toolbox for EpiC project. I linked the form, using API, to Microsoft Power BI and created a dashboard that facilitated easy monitoring of Peer Educators and/or navigators during implementation of the project.
  • Developed a Social Network Analysis dashboard through Microsoft Power BI, linked from DHIS2 tracker using API, for Enhanced Peer Outreach Approach (EPOA) that softened Monitoring of risk Social Networks during the implementation of the project, ie, EpiC.
  • Capacitated twelve (12) EpiC technical staffs on Spatial Analyses using Quantum Geographical Information System (QGIS) that softened monitoring of implementation activities through geospatial locations.
  • Capacitated thirty-one (31) technical staffs on Online Reservation Applications (ORA) in Dodoma for three days from 6th March to 8th March 2024 at Nashera Hotel in Dodoma to enhance implementation of ‘going online’ activities.
  • Conducted more than four (4) Data Quality Assessments (DQA) in Kilimanjaro and Arusha Regions for EpiC Project reports.
  • Supported a JICHEKI ORA web app as a backstop for Tanzania's EpiC project, and developed a JICHEKI ORA dashboard that indicates performance to CSO level as well as to peer-specific performance.
  • Currently supporting central office for the health informatics position and enhanced a conducive environment for telehealth implementation of activities.

YOUTH WINGS

Data Manager
10.2021 - 06.2023

Job overview

  • Observed Data Quality: As a Data Manager, I have managed to lead the team towards reporting timely, accurately and appropriately the project activities and results to the project management team; ensured that routinely collected data summaries are available in a user-friendly format for regular use in program monitoring; worked with the strategic information team to ensure electronic systems are in place to manage and disseminate program data from client to National level; facilitated generation of queries and ensured data cleaning activities are systematically conducted; and tracked referrals and conducted Data Verifications at facilities to ensure that the reported information is correct, precise and accurate.
  • Ensured Data Analysis, Dissemination and Use: In addition, I managed to develop an M&E Plan as per the program activities and indicators that helped the team to easily monitor the results. As a data manager, I also enhanced the use of DHIS2 systems (Infolink, DATIM, DHIS2 Tracker, HMIS Tanzania) for both reporting and analyzing data to maximize informed and quality decision making. For the DHIS2 Tracker, I managed to enhance the use of API connections and dashboards to soften monitoring of daily data entry, cleaning, tallying, and reporting activities.
  • In data analysis, I managed to enhance not only advanced Excel Dashboards, but also the use of QGIS for spatial analyses (using maps), especially in hotspots and case identification analyses across the SNUs of implementation. I also managed to develop dashboards in Infolink for easy follow up of the performance across reporting periods.
  • I am also responsible for developing a data dissemination and use system not only to the project team, but also to stakeholders. In this role, I managed to ensure that the hotspot’s mapping data was much informative; monitored Viral Load data using DAC tool/CTC2 Analytics to easily identify Viral Load uptake and results and shared with CHMT (DACCs) for follow ups. With the use of DAC tool,
  • I simplified monitoring of clients’ appointments in ART uptake and follow ups for IITs, TOs, Deaths and Continuity in Treatment. As a result, it improved reporting of Treatment Data accurately, timely and precisely.
