• To carry out regular airfield inspection on the maneuvering areas of airport and apron to ensure safety and serviceability of infrastructure and landing aids and report status,
• To supervise services rendered by services contractor in the terminal building and public areas and ensure compliance with Service Level Agreement,
• To ensure upkeep of airport airstrip (grass cutting, open drainage, and cleanness),
• To ensure quality services and serviceability of facilities in terminal building and public areas,
• To ensure availability and readiness of apron management services,
• To respond and provide assistance during airport emergencies as may be
• required/directed by senior operations officer,
• To participate in the coordination and facilitation of VIP’s and Heads of state,
• To perform other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
(i) To sort shipping and clearance documents collected from shippers and consignees;
(ii) To identify necessary available and missing shipping documents of each transaction assigned;
(iii) To recommend on the completeness and state of accuracy of shipping documents received from shippers/consignees;
(iv) To recommend HS Code applicable for each shipment for the purpose of customs declaration;
(v) To communicate with shippers/consignees or the required or missing shipping and other documents necessary for a particular shipment;
(vi) To draft Customs Declarations for submission to TRA;
(vii) To lodge properly approved clearing and forwarding documents to TRA, ports, and other authorities or institutions as necessary;
(viii) To follow up with TRA and other authorities or institutions to ensure timely fulfillment of approvals, receipt of bills/invoices for efficient clearance of documents, and forwarding of shipments; and
(ix) To perform any other official duties as may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
Follow up on all the transporters to make sure the cargo has been delivered to the destination warehouse safely.
Follow up on the delivery notes from each warehouse, i.e., domestic and international warehouses, to confirm if they have received the cargo.
• Preparation of the payment list; this is the document that shows how much needs to be paid to each transporter on a weekly basis. Receiving the original EFD and invoices from the transporters, they have delivered the goods safely.
• Checking the correctness of all the documents which the transporters bring to make sure they are correct, also matching the delivery notes together with the EFD and invoice received from the transporters
• Preparation of invoice from the system.
Follow up on the invoices to make sure they are approved by the supervisors and managers and then signed.
• Paying the transporters, that is, through cash.
Follow up on all the payments from all other branches, i.e., Kenya, Uganda, Zambia, and Malawi, for each transporter.
• Communicating with other branches on all issues regarding payments.
• Preparation of a reconciliation statement at the end of each month to ensure that each transporter does not have any pending payments.
• Preparation of a weekly report that shows how much business we have made throughout the week and

i. To sort shipping orders by ship calls;
ii. To prepare list of ship and stuffing tally locations and times;
iii. To take proper record of cargo loaded or unloaded from ships stuffed or de-stuffed at the actual time and place of cargo loading, unloading, stuffing, or de-stuffing;
iv. To tally each cargo unit, including containers, and confirm type and condition of each cargo unit loaded or discharged on board ship;
v. To keep safe and secure all tally sheets and contained information or details attended by him/her and submit the same to supervisor; and
vi. To perform any other official duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
