A Drilling Supervisor with 38 years of diversified drilling experience. I have a supervisory experience of extensive drilling of water wells with successful completion within planned cost and time goals with less supervision from head office. I have supervised the drilling and completions of hundreds of water boreholes for domestic, agricultural, commercial, cattle ranches and other specialized industrial customers throughout our country (Tanzania). My expertise stems from various Professionals in groundwater field (foreign & local). I’m capable to plan, organize day to day drilling activities and monitoring the development of work, preparation of daily, weekly and monthly reports, as well as report presentation. I’m sufficiently experienced in all aspects of water drilling projects. Ordering materials and equipment required for borehole construction. Organizing and controlling the rig crew, monitoring the daily activity, communicating with clients, consultants and Head Office. Supervision and inspection of drilling rigs, equipment and borehole construction and development. Planning camping, staff, materials as well as rig/equipment movement I have carried out Implementation of drilling all sizes (small to large diameter) of deep water boreholes using air/mud, coring,auger,odex, Down – the – Hole hammer DTH and cable tool methods with the use of number of rigs with yields up to 100,000 liters per hour. The borehole drilled through different geological formations in coast (sedimentary), crystalline basement rocks, and karoo (mainly sandstones) and in volcanic rock areas. I do pumping tests, installation, repair and maintenance of pumps, fishing of lost equipment in boreholes, borehole rehabilitation, preparation of drilling cost estimates and well completion reports. I can also impart theoretical and practical training of drillers (in the field/classroom) to improve Workmanship and increase in an improved well drilling techniques. I have trained many drillers in our country and after retirement from Civil Service, I still provide on line free advice to water well drillers and pump installers. I am also competent in selection of drilling rig, drilling accessories (Compressors, generators, drilling tools, mud pumps) and all type of borehole pumps for the water well projects. I maintained the production of highest quality boreholes executed with quality workmanship throughout the period of my occupation with the Government.

Online training of the water well drillers Zonal Manager (West Zone - Iringa, Mbeya, Rukwa, Katavi & Kigoma Regions) – Drilling and Dam Agency (DDCA) October 2013 – 2018 Supervise, direct and control all drilling activities and coordinating with regional/district/town water authorities and responsible officers and clients regarding drilling projects in the area. Special Assignment: 1. Hope Village Organization Ruvuma Region Water Well Project at Lutukira Village 80km North of Songea, Ruvuma. Scope of work comprised:
• Geophysical survey of the site
• Supervision wells drilling, pumping test and installation of pumps. 2. Iringa District Project. I supervised the drilling and completion of 7 boreholes equipped with pumps at Mawindi, Makatapora, Kinyali, Kihorogota, Mnadani, Izazi and Makadupa village. The execution of project and development in the field followed to the appropriate contract specifications as referred to the recognized Government water supply borehole drilling standards. 3. Empower Tanzania and Rotary Same Kilimanjaro. Supervision of drilling five boreholes at Katahe Hedaru, Masandare Same and Pangaro Mwanga District. The drilled depth is 180m and the 12”/10” diameters to facilitate running large casing of 8”/6” OD and the pump as well. The area produced large sums of water due to extensive fracturing within the formation. The borehole fitted with submersible pumps for village water supply. 4. Arusha urban Water Supply and Sewerage Authority (AUWASA). Two boreholes drilled in crystalline basement and volcanic rocks at Magereza Area. The drilled depth is 150m and 18” diameter to facilitate running large casing of 10” OD and the pump as well. 5. Drilling of two (2) high yielding boreholes at Mererani in Simanjiro. The yields are 100,000 litres per hour. 2003 – October 2013 Drilling Project Officer Iringa & Mbeya Regions Supervision and control execution of DDCA’s drilling projects in Iringa and Mbeya region. Among these; is water bottling plant (Maji Africa, Ihefu and Mbeya Spring). Asas Dairies Farm Ltd, Tanzam Highway Road Rehabilitation Project, Iringa - Dodoma Road Rehabilitation Project. Ruaha National Park, Iringa Drip Irrigation Schemes, School, Health, Orphan Centres as well as village and private water wells network. Exploratory and production drilling in Tunduma, Makambako, Rujewa, Chunya, Laela and Kyela for urban water supply services. 1999 – 2002 Drilling Project Coordinator Coast, Mtwara and Ruvuma Regions UNICEF - DDCA Cooperation for Well Drilling and Construction in Kisarawe, Rufiji, Masasi, Tunduru and Mbinga District. In this project, I performed the following works: 1. Drilled 120 productive wells, installation of pumps and preparation of well completion data. Training of two pump care takers per borehole. 2. Reporting progress as well as finance and supplies issues to UNICEF. 3. Supervision of Water well drilling at several villages in Pemba and Zanzibar. 1998 Regional Drilling Officer Iringa Control and supervise DDCA’s water well drilling projects in Iringa Region. Several wells drilled for rural communities for a safe and reliable water supply services. 1997 Drilling Supervisor Dar es Salaam City Augmentation of water supply The augmentation of water supply in Dar es Salaam City was planned to drill 500 water wells for drinking water. I was fully attached in this task force for all phases of the operation, mobilization of rigs and equipment to completion of drilling and test pumping of wells. The yield of wells was sufficient enough to increase the flow to the DAWASA network. 1995 - 1996 Regional Drilling Officer Iringa Region Control and supervise DDCA’s water well drilling projects in Iringa Region. Wells drilled for agricultural and dairy farms in Iringa district and as well as for Coal Exploration Project in Mchuchuma Ludewa Njombe Region. July 1994 Zonal Drilling Inspector Mwanza, Shinyanga, Kagera and Mara Regions Supervise, direct and control all drilling activities, Regional Drilling Coordinators, In - charge of drill rigs as well as coordinate with regional water authorities and responsible geologists, hydrogeologists, geophysicist, hydrologists and Senior Drilling Inspector and Senior Mechanical Inspector regarding drilling projects in the area. March 1986 – August 1990 Drilling Counterpart Mtwara Lindi Rural Water Supply Project Consultant: Finnwater Consulting Engineers, Finland Activities: Drilling of water wells and pumps installation to provide sufficient water supply for the rural communities in Mtwara, Lindi, Masasi, Newala, Nachingwea, Liwale and Kilwa Districts. Drilling of monitoring wells at Magumchila Well Field in Masasi Town. The project funded by Irish People through Irish Red Cross. 1985 Driller Incharge Mtwara Urban Water Supply Project Consultant: German Water Engineering GmbH Activities: Drilled a number of deep exploration, piezometer and production wells in the Mtawanya Valley 8 km south east of Mtwara town. The boreholes are the only source of water for the Mtwara Municipality under the Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Authority. Test Pumping for the project and existing wells with the aim of obtaining information on hydrogeological parameters. 1984 Driller Incharge Ruvuma Region Drilling of production wells for the construction of the Makambako Songea Road Project. 1982-1983 Mbeya Region Driller In charge Village wells drilling program in Chunya, Mbarali and Mbozi District and drilling test holes in Mbozi District for Water Master Plan (Danida Water Project) Mbeya Region.
