Ephraim is a Senior GIS/Data expert with over 12 years' experience in GIS/Data management field and M&E. Regarding GIS, Ephraim has proven experience in designing and implementing baseline surveys, different spatial activity locations tools designing and web map application for USAID Tanzania mission. Developing interactive and static maps for different indicator visualization have been the major task he has done over 9 years. Ephraim have been leading GIS Section since 2018 in supporting USAID Tanzania in utilization of GIT, Regarding the Data quality assessment, he is an expert, He conducts 20 to 25 Data quality assessments per year and conducts capacity building for USAID Partners across all sectors of PEPFAR and Non-PEPFAR implementing partners. With reference to GIS, he analyses data and generate data visualization products, including interactive maps and dynamic Address visualizations communicate analytical findings to internal USAID decision- (Mission teams) and external audiences (Implementing partners). Additionally, Ephraim is responsible to build the capacity of USAID Teams to use spatial data, analysis, and visualization products, to better support the goal of data-driven decision making. Ephraim has long experience in national and international programs as of current he is a GIS/Data consultancy in USAID/Data for development working with NORC at the University of Chicago, in additional to that he worked with Humanitarian international organization such as MSFCH-OCG- Médecins Sans Frontiers International as GIS/M&E Specialist and UN agency (UNHCR, NRC,DRC, Oxfam, World Vision) in the area of GIS/M&E/Data Capacity building consultant.
•Advising on GIS and information systems tasks
• Managing geospatial maps and analyzing spatial database information
• Leading the development of GIS products and maintain GIS databases
• Support database management activities/tasks
• Liaise with the Mission as assigned to conduct a series of trainings that will enable relevant staff to fully utilize the tools embedded within the USAID/Tanzania ArcGIS database.
• Conducting layered comparative analyses and supporting the identification of ongoing mapping needs across the Mission’s portfolio.
• Leading the data collection tasks required to continually update program and contextual data in the database by scheduling quarterly GIS update meetings with specific IPs and donor partners.
• Clean and collate quantitative data sets.
• Supporting the creation of real-time data visualization and reports for USAID.
• Supporting activity knowledge management (setting up and maintaining a knowledge management repository, developing an online platform repository, or developing a database).
