Programmatic
1. Liaise with implementing partners for promoting the SRHR in the East Africa and Great lakes region with the aim of enabling Adolescents and Youths in all their diversity, especially teenage girls to enjoy and fulfill their sexual and reproductive rights.
1. Work alongside other EANNASO program staff and implementing partners working on SRHR projects to provide advance deeper technical support on gender-transformative SRHR.
2. Support the development of training manuals, guidance documents, and toolkits on adolescent SRHR.
3. Development of capacity building plans and providing training, coaching, and mentorship on gender transformative SRHR to program staff and implementing partners.
4. Identify and build opportunities and, as well as strengthening project partnerships to advance adolescent SRHR and gender equality in the project areas.
6, Map and analyze operational contexts and trends to inform program development and improving upon our SRHR practice in project intervention area.
7. Establish regular contact and maintain credibility and good relations with partners, stakeholders, and communities where the project is implemented and contribute to the establishment of networks on SRHR for advocacy and influencing.
8. Monitor activities implementation through regular visits, meetings with beneficiaries and other stakeholders and make informed decisions as necessary.
9. Ensure the collection of quality data to inform the M&E database.
10. Support in preparation of all monthly, quarterly, and annual project work plans and reports as required by EANNASO, the donor and by other project stakeholders and beneficiaries as appropriate.
11. Document project implementation and changes generated by the project through success stories, documentaries, Most Significant Changes, booklets, and maintains crucial project documents which track project progress and facilitate consistent learning and sharing of good practices among staff and partners.
12. Identify any potential issues or risks that could affect the progression of the project and communicate these items with the Program Manager.
13. Performs any other duties within the scope of the role as assigned by the Program manager.
Resource mobilization and Partnership
1. Represent EANNASO in several local, Regional and international Forums, Meetings and Workshops relevant to the Policy watch department including the SRHR, HIV, HIV/TB, AGWYs, Adolescents and KVP related forms.
2. Provides inputs in the developments of proposals for fund for implementation of the Policy Watch Program.
3. Support fundraising initiative undertaken by the organization.
4. Identifies potential partners for Policy Watch Program.
5. Forge, Maintain and utilize partnership between EANNASO and other partners and stakeholders including the Government, DPs, Implementing partners, TNCM, NSA, members and beneficiaries Beneficiaries and EAC and GLRC Member states.
Specific Duties.
On HIV, TB and Malaria Programs
1. To ensure that all programs adhere to the global fund and TNCM ethical standards and that Human Rights are embodied in all programs
2. To ensure that all programs are free from Sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment
On Matters related to Policies &Procedures
1. Ensuring the adoption and implementation of the Code of Conduct by the TNCM as a body, by all TNCM members and for new members going forward, and documenting the adoption;
2. Ensuring existing governance documents are periodically reviewed and revised as needed and endorsed by the TNCM (by-laws, Conflict of Interest procedures and declaration forms) and that they reflect the TNCM Code of Conduct.
On Matters related to Conflict of Interest (Conflict of Interest) management:
1. ensuring all members have updated Conflict of Interest Declarations on record;
2. Pre-screening meetings agendas against Conflict of Interest Declarations; identifying perceived, potential or actual Conflict of Interest and informing the TNCM Chair;
3. Supporting the TNCM Chair with managing and mitigating identified Conflict of Interest before, during and after meetings.
4. Ensuring the appropriate documentation including Conflict of Interest declarations, meeting minutes and the management of these documents.
On Sexual Exploitation Abuse and Harassment (PSEAH)
1. Organizing an annual PSEAH training for TNCM members, with the support of the Global Fund
2. Supporting fund recipients in the execution of their PSEAH obligations and overseeing their ongoing adherence to the PSEAH requirements in the Code of Conduct for Recipients;
3. Serving as the in-country point of contact for the Global Fund on matters of PSEAH and coordinating the PSEAH Focal Points at the Principal Recipient level
4. Acting as a “safe space” for in-person reporting of SEAH allegations and ensuring that the same exists6
across implementers;
5. Liaising on victim/survivor support with the Global Fund’s Victim Advocate and In-Country Support Coordinator;
6. Supporting the TNCM in its shared responsibility for preventing and responding to SEAH, child protection, and related abuse of power in the context of Global Fund programs;
On Roles related to Accountability in case of alleged or reported breaches:
1. Ensuring TNCM Code of Conduct breaches are appropriately and timely reported addressed and documented;
2. Promoting and supporting compliance with the Whistle-blowing Policy (Duty to Speak Out);
3. Supporting the response to potential ethical misconduct, including advising on investigations;
4. Initiating or supporting actions taken to prevent, manage and sanction TNCM Code of Conduct breaches.
Specific Duties.
1. Support Consultancy around Health Rights and legal assessments
2. Support Clients Compliance and Capacity reviews/assessments
4. Support Legal verifications for our clients
5. Support and Coordinate mapping of active Community Based Organization implementing TB and Family Planning services in Mwanza region for USAID Afya Shirikishi, Project-Client is Amref Health Africa in Tanzania
Specific Duties:
A. Legal duties
1. To prepare various Commercial legal opinions ready to advice clients,
2. To handle Commercial Litigations on behalf of Clients Including Banks and Microfinance companies.
3. Preparation of a wide range of custom made commercial and business agreements that meet the
client’s needs.
4. Providing Legal Opinions on Mortgage properties and Loan Recoveries as well as Debt Collection techniques.
5. Undertaking due diligence for companies and give opinions in institutional, governance and ownership structures.
6. Preparing and Filing annual Returns for Commercial Clients.
7. Facilitation of winding up Legal processes
8. Coordinate, supervise and provide assistance to Interns
9. Keep Clients data confidential after service
10. Conduct daily, monthly and quarterly Clients data collection, review and reporting to firm Management
11. Conduct monthly review and feedback meetings with key customers and document their needs
12. Coordinate and supervise all the litigation court proceedings under Major Law Associates
14. Supported client with Business and Corporate Law
