Brian is an experienced and well-rounded engineering geologist. Brian has been involved in numerous projects over a wide range of geotechnical conditions and a broad spectrum of infrastructure developments, including ground investigation of proposed road and bridge foundations, cutting stability assessments, railway lines, and dams, identifying and analysing of the suitability and available quantities of required quarry sites and recently east Africa crude oil pipeline project and other related projects. He has been involved in various geological studies, including greenstone-hosted gold exploration and sediment-hosted Uranium exploration programs in Tanzania. He has considerable experience in designing geotechnical investigations, utilising multiple techniques, including geological mapping, soil/rock profiling, core logging, chip logging, sampling for laboratory testing, percolation testing, rock mass ratings, Dynamic Cone Penetrometer testing, seismic refraction, electrical resistivity surveys and SPT, to meet the design requirements and specifications for each site, taking into account the anticipated geotechnical conditions. Furthermore, Brian is experienced in analyzing geological and geotechnical data and compiling the results into accurate, concise reports for design purposes.
