Operations Assistant-Team Leader Field Support

  • Led the initiative to propose a new Transit Centre, conducting thorough needs assessments and gathering input from key stakeholders to ensure the design met the IOM requirements of both beneficiaries and operational staff.
  • Provided critical oversight during the establishment of the Transit Centre, coordinating with Operations Manager and Procurement and logistic to ensure that improvements were implemented effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Identified and supervised enhancements to key areas of the Centre, including the kitchen, dining areas, waiting shelters, and walkways, creating a more functional and comfortable environment for beneficiaries.
  • Spearheaded modifications to office spaces to improve staff workflow and accessibility, resulting in increased operational efficiency and better service delivery to beneficiaries.
  • Designed and implemented clear and informative signage throughout the Transit Centre, ensuring that beneficiaries had access to essential information regarding services, facilities, fraud prevention and regulations, thereby enhancing their overall experience.

  • Initiated good steps to make the identified new Transit Center in Rwanda operational at international standard
  • Coordinate the additional needs with the Operations Manager and Procurement and logistic to ensure that improvements are implemented timely.
  • Ensure all paperwork related to the new Transit center is initiated, approved and timely delivery of the orders.
  • Based on what has been already put in place in the new Transit Center, and in compliance with IOM Transit Center guidelines, ensure the standards is fulfilled
