  • Assisted in interpretation of regulatory legislations including the Petroleum Act to suit regulatory environment and capture of the Petroleum sub sector
  • Interpreted the Petroleum Act toward development of news rules and regulations. Currently i have been involved in developing, among others, the Petroleum (Wholesale, Storage, Retail and Consumer Installation Operations) Rules, GN. No. 150 of 2022, the Petroleum (Lubricant Operations) Rules, the Petroleum (Liquefied Petroleum Gas Operations) Rules, the Petroleum (Condensate Operations) Rules, the Petroleum (Waste Oil Recycling Operations) Rules, the Petroleum (Marine Loading and Offloading Operations) Rules, The Petroleum (Natural Gas)(Transmission and Distribution Activities) Rules 2018, GN 176s, The Petroleum (Local Content) Regulations 2017 GN 197, The Petroleum (Compressed Natural Gas)(Supply and Marketing Services)Rules 2019- GN 220, The EWURA Consumer Complaints Settlement Rules 2020 -GN 428
  • Representing the Authority (EWURA) in Courts of law and Tribunals on matters filled by or against the Authority. Currently i have managed to represent the Authority in eight cases and won all of them.
  • Handling of consumer complaint filled at EWURA pursuant to Part III of the EWURA Act, Cap 414. These complaints involve complaints emanating from Petroleum sub sector, Electricity, Natural Gas and Water Sector.
  • Assist in interpretation the Electricity Act, 2008
  • Involved in evaluating and processing the applications for licence and construction approval in the petroleum sub sector
  • Assist in investigating non compliance in the petroleum sub sector.
  • To follow up on implementation of laws, contracts and other legal instruments
  • Provide legal opinion
