  • Strengthen early warning, alert and response (EWAR) by supporting event-based surveillance (EBS) performance at the nation, regions, councils, health facilities and communities to improve alert management in Tanzania mainland and Zanzibar.
  • Participate in the development, improvement, and dissemination of procedures, guidelines, policies, and other standard operating procedures (SOPs) on emergency preparedness and response initiatives in the country.

A TEPHINET CVD Small grant

Awarded a 2019-2020 Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) Small Grants with a title “Integrated Hypertension and Diabetes Mellitus Treatment and Care among People Living with HIV/AIDS Attending Care and Treatment Center in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania”. The project was implemented for six months at Temeke Regional Referral Hospital. The work was published in 2024 in the journal of Bulletin of the National Research Centre
