MY PROFILE
I am a Chartered Insurer Fellow (FCII, UK) and currently serve as the CEO of Metro Tanzania Life Assurance Co. Limited. Additionally, I am a Board Member of the Organization for the Eastern and Southern Africa Insurers (OESAI) and the Association of Tanzania Insurers (ATI). With extensive experience in Insurance, Risk Management, Bancassurance, and the Mobile and Digital industries, I possess a diverse set of skills both locally and internationally.
My qualifications include an FCII (UK), an MBA, a Postgraduate Diploma in Insurance and Risk Management from IIRM (India), a Postgraduate Diploma in Management from UMI (Uganda), and a B.A. from UDSM. Since 2016, I have been leading Metropolitan Life Assurance Tanzania as the CEO & Principal Officer, increasing the company’s market share from 0.1% to 7%.
My previous roles include Chief Commercial Officer & Principal Officer of MMI Metropolitan Insurance Tanzania, Country Sales Manager for BRITAM Insurance Tanzania, and Business Development & Marketing Manager at REAL Insurance Tanzania. I began my career at General Tire, advancing to the role of Country Manager in Uganda, before joining Airtel Tanzania as the Regional Sales Manager, and later working with Firestone East Africa as the Zonal Manager.
I am a dedicated and enthusiastic professional with excellent interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively at all levels. I excel in both independent and team environments, demonstrating the organization and prioritization necessary to meet company objectives and deadlines. I thrive in high-pressure, challenging settings and have successfully led teams of both local and foreign staff.
