Experience in fieldwork technique and the use of ecological monitoring equipment such as hand-held computers (PDA’s), GPS, Range Finder, Binoculars, Field Identification Guides, Stop Watch, Prismatic Compass, Topographic Maps, Camera Traps and Mobile GIS apps such as Survey 123,Collector for ArcGIS, Snap2Map and maps.me
Competent in wildlife census, data analysis, the use of participatory rural appraisal (PRA), the use of GIS and remote sensing in natural resources management.
Able to initiate and carry out conservation research and conservation planning program
Field experience in tourism planning, infrastructure and product development.
Competent in the use of GIS tools ArcGIS 10.8 and ARCGIS online, ILWIS, ERDAS imagine, Spatial Monitoring and reporting tool (SMART) and the Microsoft Access database system in natural resources management.

The GIS unit aims to improve geospatial data collection and management. It also aims to help staff advance their skills in performing anti-poaching. GIS unit works to encourages park units to broaden their use of geospatial services. The goal is to support data-driven and science-based park management and decision-making.
